FREE Food Vouchers

UND students can pick up a $10 food voucher in the student union that can be used at any Food vendor in the festival grounds.

UND students can ride the Grand Forks Public transit for free!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is the festival located?

Festival grounds are located off 2nd Ave N & N 3rd St, directly behind The Toasted Frog restaurant, along the Grand Forks Greenway. Look to our map view of the grounds.

Is there re-entry to the festival grounds?
Yes. We will be hand stamping those who leave after 6PM for re-entry. For those showing up before 6PM for free entry, make sure you leave after 6PM to avoid any entry fees.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my children?
Children ages 5 and under get in FREE! 

Is there camping?

There isn't any camping we host but the Red River State Recreation Area is an option, located across from the festival grounds at 515 2nd Street Northwest in East Grand Forks, MN.

Will there be ATMs available?

Yes

Where may I park?

On-street parking and parking ramps in Downtown Grand Forks are available for attendees.

Are there tickets or wristbands?

Tickets will be available at the gate and online. However, for patrons 21 years of age and older who plan to consume alcohol within the grounds, the Greenway Takeover Wristband must be worn at all times.

Is alcohol allowed in the festival?

You cannot bring alcohol into the festival. Alcohol is available from approved festival vendors inside the festival grounds. A wristband is to be worn for those 21 years of age or older who plan to consume alcohol. Wristbands are provided at the entrance of the grounds after valid ID is confirmed.

Are dogs allowed?

No. Service animals are allowed.

How does the festival dollar system work for purchasing food and/or drink?

Festival dollars may be purchased on-site at booths near Food Truck Alley. Cash only but ATMs are available. For every $1.00 spent, one ticket will be given. Festival vendors accept festival tickets only for payment. 

Is the festival accessible to people with disabilities?

Festival grounds are located on a grassy, level terrain. Please use caution.

Is the festival family friendly?

You bet!  We have a ton of free games and kids entertainment scheduled!

Can I bring in my own food or beverage?

No. Food and beverage brought from outside is not permitted on festival grounds. Food and beverage is available from approved festival vendors inside the grounds.

Can I bring my bicycle to the festival?

Bicycles are allowed on festival grounds but are not permitted to be ridden. Bike racks are available on-site. Bike locks are not provided.

Will there be security?

Festival grounds are enclosed and monitored by security professionals. We also cooperate with the Grand Forks Police Department to provide a safe and successful experience for everyone.

Rain or shine, will the festival be open?

Festival grounds will remain open, weather permitting.

What kind of seating will be available?

Picnic benches are available near Food Truck Alley for an area to eat. Personal blankets and chairs are strongly encouraged for attendees who'd like a comfortable place to sit.

The Greenway Takeover Festival has a wide variety of food & snacks, conveniently located at our "Food Truck Alley". There are vegetarian options, as well as the standard fare. Food may only be purchased with festival tickets. No cash, credit, or debit will be accepted by food & beverage vendors.  

DRINK

Drinks are available for purchase at the concession stands. Beer & mixed drinks may be purchased and consumed on-site at licensed locations only by adults displaying valid 21+ wristband during hours of operation. No outside beverages may be brought onto festival grounds.
